Te Matarau Limited is a limited liability company with charitable status.  Established in 2000 Te Matarau provides:

• Collaboration between the Maori Development Organisations.
• A cohesive voice for Maori health, Social Service Providers as well as Economic Development initiatives.
• Opportunities for improved integration of Health and Social Services.
• Opportunities to create and further develop capacity of Maori Service Providers.
  

ADVOCATING AT A NATIONAL LEVEL

The Te Matarau shareholders collaborate to provide a united and cohesive voice for Mäori Development at the national level by:

• Providing a support forum for  Mäori Development Organisations. 

• Developing strategies to increase access and at the same time reducing barriers for Mäori in the wider society.
  

• Develop strategies to support increased capacity amongst Mäori  Provider organisations  across the country.

OUR STRATEGY

Te Matarau’s overarching strategy is one of developing business relationships with other Crown Ministries who seek to purchase services that guarantee measurable outcomes against the broader determinants of health and well being in Aotearoa. This approach is consistent with the vision of optimal health and well being for tangata whenua.
